Personal Journey Doll Workshop

Doll Workshop Board Dec. 2013Art of the Heart Doll with signaturePersonal Journey Doll Workshop (16+ years)

“The art of free-form doll making is designed as a gentle way to free up your imagination and bring fun and spontaneity into the creative process. The distinctly, nontraditional doll making techniques are easy to learn, enjoyable to do, and full of expressive possibilities. These include twisting, wrapping, knotting, stitching, and/or gluing the ‘one of a kind’ doll creation together. Please bring a small memento to personalize your work; all other materials are supplied.”

Artist Statement: “Each poetic, enigmatic figure created is an expression of a feeling or idea rather than a lifelike portrayal of a human and is formed intuitively; playfully. My intent is to fuse my creative imagination with my artistic skills to enchant both adult and child alike.”

Each workshop is six to eight hours and tailor-made to meet the needs of the participants. Cost varies depending on time, intent, or location.

I appreciate your comments. This is a favourite of mine also. I sold the original but have a painting of her and several images.

Would you consider doing a workshop at our festival August 2012 here in Grand Forks, BC?

I love your work and would like to take your doll workshop, but do not live in your area. Have you consider online doll workshops? If you do I would love to be one of your participants.

I would love to take your this art doll workshop – these are fabulous. If you do an online workshop I’d love to know about it (and participate). Also, with enough lead time (to get a passport) I might be able to drive up for a ftf workshop.

Thank you. I’m thinking its time that I created an online P.J. doll workshop. It will take a bit to figure it out though. Maybe by September?

Keep me posted too if you do an online workshop (funky fabric ribbon dolls)!
I’m too far away from you, but would love to take a class.

I love your dolls! I see that another person has requested an online P.J. doll workshop in 2015. It is now 2017. I would absolutely love to take this workshop online from you since I live in Jefferson, GA USA Thanks PS I would pay too for an online tutorial that wouldn’t require as much work on your part. (I understand what goes into workshops and lesson plans. I was an art teacher for 17 yrs. in the public schools here. Have also taught adults.)
