Little Lamb

23 Dec

Today I’m posting an image of one of my under 5 works (inches that is) that I connect with Christmas. Little Lamb is a 3d illustrative work that was inspired by the song, “Do you Hear what I Hear”, written by Noel Regney and Gloria Shayne Baker. What I hadn’t realized is that the song was originally written as a plea for peace during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962.

This picture was taken in my studio and is a reworking of the papier mache lamb I’ve had on the go for years now. The colours really work for me. The next step will be to complete the shepherd boy to go with the little lamb.
