Edge of a Lake

11 Jun

Summer is fast approaching and I look forward to painting ‘en plein air’ once again. With that in mind I am reviewing my work from the last 3 years as I plan ahead. It is also a way to acquaint others with my paintings as the figurative art has been the dominant work shown on my blog recently.

This piece was painted with acrylics on a masonite board. It’s about 8″ by 12″ and I find boards easy to carry and work on when painting on location. The curve of the small lake where I sat was very serene. I felt much of the peacefulness of the day has found its way into the painting.
