Three Leaves

05 May

On May 12, at Place des Arts, the 4 week class, ‘East meets West’, begins.  It’s a class for adults (Wednesday from 7 to 9) and will focus on watercolours.

At Mount A I was taught by E.B. Pulford, a well known watercolourist of NB. At the time I wasn’t nearly as appreciative of his traditional techniques as I am now.

When I moved to Alberta in the 1980’s I took private lessons in Chinese Brush Technique and that changed everything. Now I find I combine both techniques to create my own, slightly abstracted way of painting.

Nothing like a new perspective to shake up one’s style!
