In the previous post, the Wind, I talked about the rather large papier mâchè piece I had made. The project was started in a workshop put on by W.P. Puppet Theatre in Calgary (www.wppuppet.com) and was to have been a puppet on a stick for a parade but I turned it into a wall hanging instead. Another moderate sized, papier mâchè puppet I posted earlier was my Brown Paper Puppet of February 16.
This kangaroo is also a papier mâchè puppet but the smallest of the three. He is a finger puppet and was created as a proto-type for a grade 1/2 class who was studying about Australia through storytelling. He eventually found a home with a good friend of mine who grew up in Australia before moving to Canada many years ago.
